Yes, the three and a half minute song is about an eggplant, but, it's possibly the best song about a vegetable since "23 Vegetable Soup."
Adams deserves as much kudos as one could give (we can all download the new album "Sun's Too Bright"). "A'Bergine" exemplifies that rare song from an artist who has absolutely no boundaries to imagination, which makes anything and everything from Adams and The Blank Tapes all the more exciting.
The Blank Tapes have been a popular band in the Southern California music scene for a while now. They've shared the stage with the likes of Mother Hips, Liz Phair, Deer Tick, Crystal Castles, Cate Le Bon, and many others. In July, The Blank Tapes will be playing in such venues as New York's Cake Shop (7/1), Berkley, California's Summer Concerts in the Redwood Groove (7/5) and many more (see below for all July dates; visit band on the web for more information)
The new album from the Blank Tapes is called "Sun's Too Bright," and the thirteen track album is now available to stream and download via BandCamp for the very low price of $5.
